Stepper Motor Controller IC L297D

Category: Tag:

Description

The L297D is a stepper motor controller integrated circuit that generates the necessary phase drive signals for stepper motors in microcomputer-controlled systems. It is designed to support both two-phase bipolar and four-phase unipolar step motors and can generate four phase outputs for controlling these motors. Internal PWM (pulse-width modulation) chopper circuits enable efficient and controlled current regulation in the motor windings, allowing half-step, full-step, normal, and wave drive modes with minimal external components.
